Coakley House
combines the style of an Old World "summer cottage" with
contemporary comfort. Its unique design--with 35 windows and seven
doors!--takes full advantage of magnificent water views and breezes from any
direction. Dominating the house is a large living room with two large picture
windows on the north and south side, and four doors to the outside. Sharing
this view is a dining room, which seats 12. Coakley House has three
air-conditioned bedrooms--two of which are matching master bedrooms, each with
sea views. The third small bedroom, designed originally as servant's quarters,
offer land views of the front entrance and gardens. Every bedroom has a
private full bath. The villa also features a full working kitchen, with
upright refrigerator/freezer, a small chest freezer, gas stove, as well
a laundry room. Bedding, linens and dining utensils/cookware are provided.
The two acres
of land on which the house sits include a 120-foot wooden dock for boat
pick-up, a small sandy cove for swimming access, a waterfront patio with
outdoor bar and grille, as well as a picnic table and hammocks. Four bicycles
are available for use. Maid/cook service, car rental, and small flats boat
rental are available by arrangement. For divers and snorkelers, the
world-renowned dive resort of Small Hope Bay Lodge, owners of the Coakley
House estate, is located just three miles away. Small Hope Bay Lodge provides
one-a-day round-trip transportation between Coakley House and the Lodge.
